Halo: Reach Sets New Halo Sales Record

Halo: Reach has broken a Halo franchise sales record, it has knocked Halo 3 off the top spot for one day sales. The previous record was set way back in 2007 with Halo 3 which cashed in $170 million, making it the best entertainment launch ever at that time, but today during Microsoft’s keynote event at The Tokyo Game Show. Microsoft Game Studios, Phil Spencer revealed that Reach easily beat that number by cashing in $200 million in just one day.

Although Halo: Reach didn’t break the Xbox 360 first day sales record which is now held by Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, that made $310 million. Halo: Reach will go down in history as having the best entertainment launch in 2010, for an exclusive title.
