The Mortal Kombat series is without a doubt my favorite fighting series. Ed Boon and the rest of the MK team are hard at work on the 9th game of the series at Warner Bros. Hopefully we’ll get to see it sometime during next weeks E3. But just a week before the event a new live action trailer has hit the net.
Starring Michael Jai White (Spawn, Black Dynamite) as Jax, and a bunch of other actors I’m not familiar with. The clip runs over 7 minutes long and explains the origins of Reptile and Baraka. The clip also features a fight scene between Johnny Cage and Baraka, and not to spoil it, but it ends with a signature Fatality. The clip is a little cheesy but if you’re a fan of the MK series you can’t help but think how cool this is. Wether this be a game or a film, I don’t care, I’m sold. I co-sign this reboot.
