Danny “Godfree” Pena

Danny is another figure who has been uniting hip hop culture with gaming for a long time. He is the founder of Gamertag Radio a podcast that features hip hop and game developer interviews, as well as industry discussion. Danny was also honored with an Xbox MVP title which consists of experts from around the world who has been recognized by Microsoft for their knowledge of the Xbox platform. But don’t be fooled by the name and the honor, Danny has made Gamertag Radio into an outlet that covers anything gaming. Forget just game podcasts, Gamertag Radio is a great example of how to podcast period. Danny also has started Community Vibes, which is a free gaming and hip hop event. Each year it has gotten bigger (5 years going), and this year 2K Games sponsored it. This huge move made it the first gaming community event ever sponsored by a huge publisher. Danny and GTR is an continuous inspiration for The Koalition.
