SCEA Adds A Quest Element To The PS Rewards Structure

Last month Sony revealed a new way to rewards the loyal PS gamers called PS Rewards, which rewards gamers for doing what they love to do, just by playing the latest games and being active on the PSN you will be rewarded in various ways depending on your status in the Tier system of the Program which goes as follow Select, Pro and Legendary.

Currently the program is on BETA phase but the full launch is coming in April 2011, so as we close to that stage SCEA have revealed a new element to the structure of the PS Rewards system by adding a
Quest like element that will make sure gamers interested in upgrading their status being more active.

We have heard your feedback and today are excited to announce the addition of Quests to the program, which provide yet another fun way for members to participate and earn progress. Quests are PlayStation-related activities that you can complete to directly add to your progress meter.

For example, with Quests, users will earn progress for playing an eligible PlayStation Move game in the “Move It” quest, for watching PlayStation Network’s PULSE in HD on their PS3 system in the “Check Your Pulse” quest, or for visiting the Central Plaza in PlayStation Home in the “No Place Like Home” quest. Nine Quests will be released in the beta by tomorrow, and we’ll be adding crafty new quests throughout the year for your enjoyment.

What do you think about PS Rewards, do you like the idea?, do you think it is something will become interesting enough for you to take part in?, I think if the PS Trophy status gets attached to the program it could lead to more gamers being interested, like have another emblem added to the PSN ID showing your status, let me know what know how you feel about PS Rewards.
