Remember the legendary N64 game GoldenEye 007? Like many gamers, I have very fond memories of this game. It is often regarded as one of the first truly successful console FPS games, and rightfully so. Even today, the game is still fun to play, although that could just be my nostalgia goggles tightly fastened to my eyes. The Wii saw a “reimagining” of GoldenEye last year, which was welcomed with less than stellar praise.
Enter 2011, and it seems we might be seeing a 3rd version of this game releasing soon. According to rdb posting over at GamePro and referencing a Tweet by Supererogatory, a domain name has been registered entitled: goldeneyereloadedgame.com by Activision (who also published the Wii game.) According to that same post on GamePro, the PS3 press conference at E3 flashed the GoldenEye logo. Does this mean we might see an update of the Wii shooter coming to PS3, possibly with Move controls a la the Wii version? What do you think of this news?
