These Games Should Have Been On A Home Console, and Now They Are!

The recent announcement of the God of War PSP games coming to PS3 in HD may have reminded you of the time you asked yourself why some of the games released on Sony’s handheld weren’t released on the PS3 instead? There are many core titles in the PSP catalog that most likely would’ve benefited tremendously if they were instead released on the PS3, because a majority of the Western gaming audience have yet to embrace hardcore games on a portable handheld to the level that gamers in Asia and Europe have shown. Well, it looks like we can look forward to more than just a God of War games, because Sony has announced the PSP Remaster Series for PS3.

According to the initial report from Andriasang, Sony will be developing remakes of several of it’s most popular titles, providing HD graphics, updated controls, multiplayer through PS3’s Ad-Hoc Party application, and connectivity between the PSP and PS3. This means you can transfer your saves across consoles and continue playing. Sony announced that the first game of the Remaster series is Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD. The Monster Hunter series makes sense for it’s dedicated community and because of the ridiculous number of sales across the entire series.

What games would you like to see released in HD? Personally, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Patapon, and Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core stand out as games that make sense, and hopefully this is a prelude to the functionality that gamers will experience with the Sony NGP.
