2K Games has kept XCOM hidden since its reveal at last years E3 2010. We seriously hadn’t heard of the game nor seen it. XCOM is not dead, 2K Marin was just hard at work on it as you can tell in the latest trailer for the game.
XCOM is being developed by 2K Marin, developers of Bioshock 2, so I know it’s in good hands. I know nothing about the previous versions of XCOM but what I’ve seen of this new game has intrigued me so far. I’m a fan of the mid-century period in which the game is set and who doesn’t enjoy stopping weird creatures from destroying our world.
Unlike everyone else, 2K Games has set a date for XCOM, March 6th, 2012. Check out the E3 2011 trailer below and let me know what you think.
