Yu Suzuki Leaving Job at Sega

For those unaware, Yu Suzuki has been the guy behind such games as Shenmue, Virtua Fighter and Outrun. In an interview with Gamasutra,  Suzuki said that he will be leaving his current position at Sega (of which he already shifted to once back in 2009) and will instead be manning his own company of which he works with more now anyways.

“In 2008 I established YS NET, my current company,” he said. “I’ll be leaving my current job at Sega this September, and after that point I’ll remain on as an advisor.”

What is your opinion of this news? Those are some pretty big games to have on your resume, hopefully he will continue to do great things at his own company.
