When NBA 2k13 hits stores in a few weeks, the Xbox 360 version of the game will have Kinect integration that will allow players to call plays and substitutions on the fly. The video above showcases these concepts in real-time to give fans an idea of how the scenario works.
As a fan of the series, I welcome the addition of this feature but can’t help but feel like it’s hardly a surprise. Kinect functions virtually the same way on both Madden NFL 13 and FIFA 13 and therefore developers haven’t really done much to make full use of all of the device’s capabilities. Still if you’re a basketball fan and own a kinect, then trying out this feature is a no-brainer.
NBA 2k13 releases on October 2nd for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, Wii, and PC. A Wii-U version will be released at a later date.
