I had to choose Canibus as my next pick for Throwback Thursday because although he’s recently been the laughing stock of the industry due to his ‘Dizastrous’ rap battle on King of The Dot, it doesn’t take anything away from what he’s done in the past.
2000 B.C (released in 2000) was a dope album back when it came out. It was of course slept on, as Canibus is an artist who always maintained an underground audience. All in all the album represents everything I fell in love with when it comes to Hip Hop. The lyrics were raw, the beats were dope although not considered appealing on a commercial level; and overall Canibus epitomizes what it means to be an MC.
