This generation hasn’t been too kind to the Tony Hawk series but it seem that the Birdman’s luck is about to change. In its first week on the Xbox Live Marketplace, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD has sold approximately 120,000 copies which is 117,000 more than the last Tony Hawk game sold during the same time period.
Despite the strong sales, many Hawk fans (myself included) were left disappointed by HD’s shallow offerings but hopefully the devs at Robomodo will be able to turn that negative stigma around when they release Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 levels and revert system as DLC later this year.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is out now for XBLA and will be grinding on to the Playstation Network and Steam later this Summer. Fingers crossed that Pro Skater 5 will soon become a reality!
