Ubisoft has revealed the first gameplay footage of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag in a new trailer for the game, check it out in the video embedded above.
The trailer reveals that the naval combat is a big factor in the game and gives us some more backstory for the game's protagonist Edward Kenway. Interestingly the trailer also shows some underwater scenes, indicating that we might be able to explore underwater for the first time in the series, so you better watch out for sharks!
After watching the trailer I can't help but feel that this just seems like more of the same for the Assassin's Creed series, personally I am getting a bit tired of it. However the potential of underwater exploration could provide a new interesting twist that might make the game stand out, the series needs a drastic improvement, hopefully once the next generation hits this will provide Ubisoft with the power to try something new.
As well as the first gameplay trailer, Ubisoft has also revealed the numerous collectors editions for the game, here are the details below:
Now then, those collector editions are as follows:
The Black Chest Edition (Uplay exclusive)
The Buccaneer Edition (exclusive to Game in the UK and Gamestop in Ireland)
The Skull Edition (available across the UK)
The Special Edition (exclusive to Game in the UK and Xtravision in Ireland)
Will you be getting the special editions? What do you think of the underwater gameplay? Let me know in the comments what you think of the trailer.
