Earlier today, Warner Bros. Interactive decided to release a brand new Scorpion Character Spotlight Video to celebrate him being added to the Injustice: Gods Among Us roster officially on June 11th.
In the video above, Ed Boon and Jim Lee further explain their reasoning for adding Scorpion as a DLC character to Injustice: Gods Among Us. The trailer also features a quick dialouge between the two over who win in a battle between Scorpion and Batman. If you purchased the season pass, then you can download Scorpion on June 11th through both the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network services. Otherwise, the character will cost you $5.00 (400 Microsoft points) separately. If you never got a chance to check out his reveal trailer from a few days ago, then please feel free to have a look at it right HERE.
While I do consider myself a diehard Mortal Kombat fan, I'm still puzzled as to why Scorpion is a character in this game. With a wide array of DLC characters to choose from, this choice just seems like a lazy one done mainly out of convenience. I will admit however, that Jim Lee did a phenomenal job with the Scorpion redesign. It would be interesting to see if Ed Boon decides to bring him in to help out on character designs for the next installment in the Mortal Kombat series.
