Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will include every game in the series spanning from 1987-2012. Here is a brief listing of all the games included in this awesome package.

  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition
  • Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition
  • Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions
  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition

As far as the PlayStation 3 exclusivity goes, Kojima has already stated that the only reason why this collection won’t be on the Xbox 360 is because they were unable to fit Metal Gear Solid 4 on a standard size Xbox 360 disc. He then went on to add that he plans to make all future Metal Gear Solid games multiplatform. As a Metal Gear Solid fan, I’m glad that this collection is finally being made and that it will help attract may newcomers to the franchise. Considering that a firm release date for Metal Gear Solid V still is still being kept under wraps, this seems like the perfect time to catch up on the series.

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will retail for $49.99 when it hits stores on July 9th. Do you plan on picking it up? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
