Without further ado, here are the Best Games of 2013 for the month of February.

Full Title: Fire Emblem: Awakening

Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo 3ds fans have long been waiting for a fresh, new game to justify their handheld console purchase for quite some time now.Not only is Fire Emblem: Awakening the type of strategy game capable of satisfying those urges, but it’s also one of the few games that can persuade even more people to buy a 3ds for the very first time. With a compelling story and a host of captivating characters, this game could very well end up being the best tactical role-playing game on the 3ds for many years to come.

Full Title: Dead Space 3
Developers: Visceral Games
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Platforms: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, & PC
Release Date: Available Now

Visceral Games and EA team up to deliver a third installment in their popular Dead Space series. Dead Space 3 concludes the story of Issac Clarke in dramatic fashion as he tries to put an end to the Necromorph threat once and for all. This sequel is expected to deliver even more chills and thrills then ever before, along with a brand-new co-operative gameplay experience. While I personally am not a fan of this addition, I’m certain that diehard fans of the franchise will be more then willing to try it out.

Developers: Sanzaru Games
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Platforms: PlayStation 3, & PlayStation Vita
Release Date: Available Now

The fourth entry in the popular Sly Cooper series is one that many fans have been anxiously awaiting. While this project isn’t developed by Sucker Punch Productions, Sanzaru Games has proven that they are capable of making this sequel just as fun as the others.

Full Title: Aliens: Colonial Marines
Developers: Gearbox Software
Publisher: Sega
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360
Release Date: February 12th

After achieving massive success with Borderlands 2, Gearbox Software ventures into the popular Aliens universe with Aliens: Colonial Marines. While a recent trailer failed to impress some, there is no denying that this title will be very interesting partially because of it’s relation to the movies. Wii U owners will have to wait until March to try this out, while every other console owner should be playing this one fairly soon.

Full Title: Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Developers: Platinum Games
Publisher: Konami
Platforms: PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360
Release Date: February 19th (North America) February 22nd (Europe)

When Platinum games took on the task of developing this Hideo Kojima inspired game, many were convinced that this project would be a failure. As someone who has played several different demos for the game, I’m completely sold on this title and I believe it is far better then critics think. If you’re a fan of Raiden and hack and slash games, then do yourself a favor and pick this up on day one.

Full Title: Crysis 3
Developers: Crytek
Publisher: EA

After releasing Crysis 2 back in 2011, Crytek’s returns with a brand new sequel complete with both a new setting and a deeper storyline. If you’re a diehard fan of first-person shooters, then picking up Crysis 3 should be one of your main objectives for the month of february.
