The E3 Game Critic Awards have been announced and it looks like Titanfall, the upcoming ‘FPS with mechs’ game from Respawn, has killed it.
The game won 6 awards in total, including Best of Show and Best Console & PC Game, check out the full list of awards below. Firstly however we need to address a point, Respawn boss Vince Zampella has said that the ‘Titans’ in Titanfall aren’t mechs at all, check out what he had to say:
“Mech is kind of a dirty word with us, we don’t like it. These aren’t mechs,” he said. “They are something totally new and different. The Titans are really an extension of the player.”
Let’s get this straight, they are mechs. There’s no doubt about it, there’s no need to hide it, mechs are cool. I for one think Mechfall looks great and hope that it makes it way to PS4 at some point next year!
