Versus Episode 4: Is The Wii U A Mistake or Misunderstood? (Debate)

If you listened to our latest episode of The Co-op then you’ll know Edward V and I were pretty opinionated when discussing Nintendo and the Wii U. I personally fell that while the Wii U is a great piece of hardware, it was a mistake for Nintendo to release it so late into the generation.

There are many who don’t agree with this, and one of those people is our very own Jakejames Lugo. Jakejames recently purchased his own Wii U and has been enjoying the console ever since. He also has a long term understanding of Nintendo and their products. I myself haven’t owned many Nintendo platforms because I feel like their games don’t always appeal to me, so my opinions on the podcasts are strictly based on observations in the industry.

We decided that there is no better way to settle this disagreement than by taking part in our very own debate show Versus. This show was birthed by the infamous Ruthless Kid a few years ago and has since been our chosen platform to settle gaming related disputes.

The topic of this debate is based on whether the Wii U is a mistake or if it’s just misunderstood. The debate was moderated by our editor-in-chief Richard Bailey, who called it right down the middle. Our final thoughts may have been a little long winded but at least we both managed to get our points out in the end. Take a listen and hear out all of our points. Let us know who you feel raised the better points on this podcast and then be sure to share your very own point of view.

Guests are also welcomed to settle their debates on the Versus podcast so if there’s ever a topic you disagree on with someone be sure to hit us up and let us know if you would like us to host your debate.
