Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain May Release In Early 2015

Earlier today, news surfaced that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain may not hit stores until early next year. This information came directly from Reddit user Hitzkolpf who registered his copy of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and received a message from Konami stating that additional DLC will be released in early 2015. A graphic image of this message is embedded below for you all to check out:

In addition to this news, Kojima also confirmed today that platinum trophies will not be available on the PS3 and PS4 versions of Grounds Zeroes. He then stated that Sony doesn’t authorize platinum trophies for unfinished games and therefore diehard trophy hunters should know this information beforehand. As it stands now, the game will have 13 bronze trophies, one silver, and one gold.

The rumored 2015 launch date of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain shouldn’t come as a surprise to most people. Kojima has made it clear from the very beginning that Phantom Pain is no where near completion and that Ground Zeroes is meant to keep fans entertained for the time being. Hopefully Phantom Pain will prove to be worth the wait once if finally does hit stores.
