The Playlist | #8

Another week, another dope artist discovered out of Chicago. Dan Kanvis makes his Playlist debut with “Never Too Much”, a smooth boom, bap track to start your week off right. The mellow joint featuring theWHOevers is impressive and we should definitely have more from Kanvis in the future.

Overall, the previous week was slow for new singles, but a strong one for full releases. QuESt was the biggest highlighy, dropping a potential top 5 project that will be a part of many conversations at the end of the year. The opening song “Maybe I Should” serves as a fantastic introduction to the full album here on the Playlist and you can check out our First Impressions for opinions on Searching Sylvan and you’ll find a download link for it as well.

If you aren’t aware, Audio Push is dope. Most know them from their first hit “Jerk”, but these guys are much more than a dance track and you’d be a disservice if you didn’t listen to their incredible mixtape Come As You Are from last year. They’ve come through with the Rockie Fresh assisted new joint “No Secret” and it’s a banger.

Song of the Week goes to Rittz with his new track “Crown Royal”. This isn’t the Strange Music artist’s first appearance on The Playlist, but this just may be his best. This is a cruising, windows down, perfect temperature type cut for your enjoyment.
