Kiefer Sutherland Will Star In The Next Mortal Kombat Game

Earlier this week, 24 TV Star Kiefer Sutherland  confirmed in an IGN interview that he will be playing an unspecified role in the next Mortal Kombat video game. This news comes several months after the actor revealed that he would be playing Big Boss in both of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V video games. When asked how he would compare working on both projects, Sutherland left the following brief statement:

“I did Mortal Kombat, and that’s such a huge game, but it’s so not like Metal Gear Solid 5“.

While he wouldn’t reveal what his role will ultimately be in the game, we can at the very least confirm that more news regarding this title is forthcoming. Ed Boon and the talented team over at NetherRealm Studios completed the last Mortal Kombat game way back in 2011 before working on Injustice: Gods Among Us. The next game in the series is expected to launch alongside a new movie sometime in 2015.

After hearing this news, I’ll be very intrigued to see exactly what role Sutherland will play in this game. In any event, we can all expect the actor to deliver a great performance from start to finish.

Are any of you excited to hear that Kiefer will be involved in the next Mortal Kombat game? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts on this and more in the comments section below.
