Black Ops III Has a Very Cool New Zombie Mode that Takes Place in the 1940’s

During the Call of Duty panel at San Diego Comic-Con, a new trailer was shown for Black Op III’s zombie mode. While Zombie Mode has been a staple of past CoD games, this new one is a bit different as it is a story in and of itself. Like past CoD DLCs, it will feature a host of Hollywood stars lending their voice talent to it.

Shadows of Evil will star Jeff Goldbum, Heather Graham, Neil McDonough, Ron Perlman, and Robert Picardo. It will take place in the 40’s and have the protagonists facing off against zombies and other monsters. They will fight back with era-appropriate weapons as well as with gumballs which give them special abilities. Some of the weapons will also be outlandish too.

Here is how Treyarch describes the mode:

Call of Duty: Black Ops III: Zombies – Shadows of Evil drops players into a recognizable yet terrifyingly unfamiliar world, as they uncover the secrets and challenges laid out for them by a shadowy figure, who holds their fate in his hands. Set in a 1940’s film-noir era, Shadows of Evil introduces four unwitting characters – The Magician, The Femme-Fatale, The Cop and The Boxer – into an unraveling experience masterminded by the mysterious Shadow Man.

Shadows of Evil will come bundled with Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Those who buy the season pass will also get The Giant which is a remake of the Der Riese map. This will feature the voice talents of Nolan North, Steve Blum, Fred Tatasciore, and Tom Kane. This map will also come with the Hardened and Digital Deluxe Editions.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be released on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on November 6.
