In a not surprising news announcement, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg confirmed today that there will be another Call of Duty coming in 2015, and that Treyarch will be the ones developing it.
This will be Treyarchs first Call of Duty game since Activision decided to move to a three year developing cycle.Ever since the split of the Infinity Ward, Treyarch has seemingly taken over as the top Call of Duty developer; Call of Duty: Black Ops, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 remain the franchise’s two biggest selling titles, and they also created the zombie mode that has infected every other CoD title.
While Hirshberg declined to comment on a release date, and did not share anything gameplay wise, he was optimistic that the community would enjoy what was to come:
“This fall’s game will be Treyarch’s first on the three-year development cycle,” “It will be loaded with innovation, and we’re excited to share more details with our community soon.”
