Earlier today, Metro posted a very interesting interview they conducted with SCEE President Jim Ryan regarding the current state of Driveclub PS Plus edition. When asked if the game will ever see the light of day, Ryan made the following statement:
“That’s still being looked at. I can’t say anything at this stage.”
These comments are quite controversial given that Evolution Studios sent out the following tweet earlier this month:
@DevilDog1977 We’re getting there, but there’s still a lot of server development needed to support the PS+ Edition.

While the PS Plus version hasn’t been cancelled, it definitely is concerning when both sides have conflicting information of the status of their game. Perhaps Sony and Evolution will provide more clarity on this matter soon to put fans looking forward to this title at ease.
Are any of you still planning on playing this game if it ever comes to PlayStation Plus? What do you all think of the future of Evolution Studios and the Driveclub series as a whole? Please feel free to let us know your comments on the matter below.
