Universal and Legendary Pictures have released the first official images from the Warcraft movie adaptation, showcasing Robert Kazinsky as the orc Ogrim in all his prosthetic glory.
Orgrim’s likeness is all in thanks to Industrial Light and Magic, who took concept art from Blizzard Entertainment—creators of the World of Warcraft videogame franchise on which Jones’ film is based—and merged it with photographs and scans of Kazinsky to create the orc.
Duncan Jones, described casting process of Orgrim as: “someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness of this character,” which they found in Kazinsky.
Fighting for The Alliance, Warcraft features Dominic Cooper as King Llane Wrynn, Travis Fimmel as Anduin Lothar, Ben Foster as Medivh, Ben Schnetzer as Khadgar, and Ruth Negga as Lady Taria, and on the side of The Horde is also Clancy Brown as Blackhand, Toby Kebbel as Durotan, and Daniel Wu as Gul’Dan, with Paula Patton’s Garona caught in the middle.
