Homefront: The Revolution Gets Pushed Back to 2016

Homefront: The Revolution was scheduled for a “2015” launch window, but after Crytek UK was closed and purchased by Deep Silver, the company announced that it’s sequel to Homefront won’t be coming until 2016.

Deep Silver acquired Crytek UK back in July of 2014, renaming the company Dambuster Studios and also getting full ownership over the Homefront IP. In a press release today, Deep Silver expressed excitement about the game, and wanted to give it’s new studio time to complete the game.

“Dambuster Studios are an extraordinarily talented group,” “We are giving the team every opportunity to turn Homefront: The Revolution into a best-selling title, and have set a 2016 release date to provide them the time they need to achieve this. You can expect to hear more about the game later this year.”

This could be a good thing in the long run for Homefront: The Revolution. The original Homefront released to mix reviews, so some extra time in the kitchen couldn’t hurt. Below, you can find the original trailer for Homefront: The Revolution.
