It’s the 90’s Again as Myst Comes to Hulu as a Dramatic Series

The 90’s are alive as Hulu announced they are developing a new series based on the 90’s PC game, Myst.

In conjunction with Legendary Television, the science fiction/fantasy series will follow a man (Stranger) who awakes on the island with no knowledge of where he is or how he came to be there. As he explores the lands and mysteries of Myst, he will uncover the origins of the haunting island.

Released in 1993, the game resulted in a franchise with multiple sequels, selling over 12 million copies through 2003.

The series is being produced by The Amazing Spider-man and The Sinister Six producer Matt Tolmach with Divergent writer Evan Daugherty and Lauren Whitney, Peter Johnson, and Cory Lanier of Legendary TV.  Myst developer Cyan Worlds will also be involved in the project.

A release date has not been announced.
