If you’ve ever been to a haunted house and thought to yourself “Yeah, it’d be awesome to live in that environment!” (I really hope none of you have) Then does Novum Analytics have something for you. Right now on Indiegogo, they are trying to get enough funding for a game called Night Terrors, a game that is billed as “an ultra immersive gaming experience that transforms your environment into a terrifying hellscape.” Sounds great, no?
In the concept trailer below, you can see the basic gist of Night Terrors: using your phone camera to map your home, the game will then use augmented reality to seemingly place ghosts and demons in your house. While looking through the phone screen, you will see many a creepy thing as you explore. The game will also scan things like pictures on your wall, allowing them to manipulate objects to “drop” in your house, adding to the scare factor. It is an ambitious project, but also a pretty neat one. I can imagine a ton of people using this to scare the ever loving crap out of people.
