Borderlands Title Confirmed to be Gearbox’s Next Project

Gearbox CEO and president Randy Pitchford today confirmed that a new Borderlands game is the company’s next project.

“It’s no secret, obviously there’s going to be another Borderlands,” Gearbox CEO and President Randy Pitchford said during a PAX East Panel.

However it may not be Borderlands 3:

“We don’t even know if we’re going to call it that. We could call it Borderlands 4 for all we know,” Pitchford noted.

The game is being written by Mikey Neumann, who hopes to include the son of popular series character Scooter, in the new game.

In other Gearbox-related news, characters from its upcoming Battleborn, which is due to launch next month for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC, will be made available as musicians in Rock Band 4.
