Versus Episode 3: Did Diablo III Deserve A Better Score?

When senior editor David Jangeaux reviewed Diablo III he upset a few people due to his apparently low score. One of those people was of course our residential shit stirrer Edward V.

Edward felt that Diablo III got robbed of a decent score, and even went on to compare the score to other reviewed games on The Koalition such as Starhawk and Max Payne 3.

So Starhawk is as good as Diablo? LMFAO, you fuking bums fucks.

We felt that as the reviewer David deserved a chance to defend himself, and of course we needed to let Edward V. vent his frustrations. What better way to do it than with a Versus podcast?

David and I both love our role-playing games, we even host a podcast together that focuses completely on the genre. But there is one question that has been asked by many gamers over the past year. Bethesda or Bioware, which company makes the best games? We decided it would be fun to put this subject up for debate, and thus we did with the help of Edward V., who is this week’s moderator.

We are both huge fans of each company and their main franchises, but we had to put our love for the companies aside and argue with cold hard facts. So expect a very interesting episode of Versus, with a completely new 3 round structure.

Versus Episode 1: Sega Genesis Vs. Super Nintendo, Which Was The Better Console?

A couple years back we debuted an exclusive debate show on The Koalition which featured Kieran Blackman and Big Freezy. Recently there have been a lot of debates going around in the industry that exceed the relevance of the usual PS3 Vs. Xbox 360 debate, so we felt like it was time to bring Versus back to stir the pot and get gamers talking.

Recently myself and Edward V. have gone back and forth over a Sega Genesis/Megadrive and Super Nintendo debate which came about when I said I didn’t own a Super Nintendo or N64. Listen as we debate the issue back and forth with Richard Bailey moderating. Be sure to let us know your thoughts on all the issues we brought up as I feel there are points both me and Ed could have articulated better.

Also look out for Episode 2 next week, in which we introduce a structured debate system with 3 rounds.

The Co-op Podcast Episode 29: Anthony Frasier And Richard Bailey Jr. Talk Pax East

Over the weekend Boston was host to none other than Pax East, and Koalition members Anthony Frasier and Richard Bailey Jr. were both in attendance. During this show they give their take of some of the Pax festivities. Look forward to some insight on Max Payne 3, Borderlands 2, The Witcher 2: Enhanced edition and some of the Panels that were held at the event.

Towards the end of the show me and Edward V also have the never-ending debate about Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo, this is mostly us just messing around, but it’s definitely an interesting debate that will stand the test of time. 20+ years from now, perhaps people will be having the same conversation about Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
