The Co-op Podcast 218: Should eSports Be in the Olympics?

Written by on

Back in early August, there were rumblings that the Olympics committee were considering adding eSports to the 2024 Olympic games. However, last week, the Co-president of the committee had some interesting statements regarding the considerations for eSports to be included.

He mentioned that the games are too violent, and also that it was difficult to assess whether the players were doped. We discuss this in length and also list some games we feel would be great for the Olympics.

Also discussed:
– Will Nintendo Nindies become the go-to platform for indie games?
– Xbox exec admits that revealing Crackdown 3 too early was a mistake
– Microsoft’s open invitation to Valve, Nintendo and others to join Xbox One and PC crossplay
