Throwdown Ep. 107 – Controlling the Message

Welcome to another episode of Throwdown. On this podcast/vidcast we discuss the latest video game news and topics in an uncompromising and honest manner. No developer, publisher, or fanboy is safe from us!

Earlier this week, Bethesda set the internet on fire when it announced that it would not send review copies to gaming publications until the day before launch. Some believe that Bethesda is wrong in doing this because reviewers won’t be able to serve their readers by not having reviews of games before or at launch. The other side believes that this is a good move because it will get people to stop depending on reviews and form opinions of their own. Which side is right? We discuss this in full.

Other topics we cover:

– Microsoft’s VR headsets
– Evolve goes extinct
– Nintendo Switch has a 6.2″ screen and displays at 720p
