Throwdown Ep. 50 – “Shut the F**k Up and Play”

Welcome to another episode of Throwdown. On this podcast/vidcast we discuss the latest video game, pop culture, and tech news in an honest and uncompromising fashion.

This is our big 50th episode spectacular where we celebrate the all-new all-different Throwdown‘s one year anniversary! To make it a special show, we’ve invited our good friend and mentor Torrence Davis back on. We’ve had Torrence on Throwdown in the past, but tonight, we give him the interview treatment. If you’ve always wanted to know Tor’s origin story, and what his thoughts are on gaming and geek culture, you don’t want to miss this episode.

Since this is the 50th/one year anniversary of the show, we’re also joined by one of the original The Throwdown crew members, and current panelist on Otanime: Michael Crawford a.k.a Rikuson1 (the only one!).

Other topics we discuss on this episode include:

  • Troy Baker leaves Twitter due to outrage after making joke about Caitlyn Jenner.
  • Deus Ex: Mankind‘s ridiculous pre-order plans.
  • Our thoughts on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain so far.
