Welcome to another episode of Throwdown. On this podcast/vidcast we discuss the latest video game, pop culture, and tech news in an honest and uncompromising fashion.
It’s that time of year again where the gaming world’s eyes look eastward to the Land of the Rising Sun. That’s right, the Tokyo Game Show is here and is giving us a taste of what we can expect to see from many Japanese gaming companies, as well as Western ones in the future.
Unlike previous years, this year’s TGS showcased many top quality titles that many from all over the world will soon be able to enjoy. We discuss all of what we’ve seen so far, what games excited us the most, and what we think this TGS means for the Japanese gaming industry as a whole.
Even though TGS has dominated the gaming landscape this week, we discuss some other news items such as: the latest controversy surrounding Mighty No. 9, Tatsumi Kimishima taking over as Nintendo’s President, how the Xbox One Experience Preview Program is causing all sorts of problems for users, and the interesting meta-game that players of Metal Gear Solid V are engaging in.
Thanks as always to Shawn Daley for our awesome intro and outro music.
