Afro Samurai 2 Trailer Explores the Deadly Revenge of Kuma

Samurai Bear is deadly...

Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma, being developed by Redacted Studios, is a continuation to the story line of the manga created by Takashi Okazaki. The plot this time shifts focus away from Afro and centers around his rival Kuma. Afro Samurai was  adapted into an anime series on Spike TV, which included the voice of Samuel L. Jackson and musical talents of RZA.

Similarly the last game, Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma will have players hacking & slashing their way through waves of enemies as they follow the journey of Kuma in this action-adventure setting. The newest trailer for the game (seen above) has an interview with David Robinson (Redacted Studios) and Jim DeFelice (Afro Samurai 2 Head Writer) that explains some of the game’s mechanics and design choices for this new entry into the franchise.

Much like the anime show, music from RZA will be an essential part of the experience that fans will definitely enjoy. David compared the music that plays in the game to that of a rock opera, but more fitting to a hip-hop style and setting.
