The Co-op Podcast 74: What Can We Expect From E3 2014?

E3 2014 is just over a month away, and we’re at a point in the gaming industry when all three console manufacturers are missing a spark. This means E3 2014 will be an extremely important show as it can either make or break the three companies.

On this show we invited Andre Tipton, our co-founder Anthony Frasier, and the man simply known as Icon to help us in discussing E3 predictions and expectations. Will Nintendo’s lack of a conference hurt them? Will Microsoft show us some incredible exclusive software? Can Sony retain their popularity with the PS4 system? We touch all bases in our E3 2014 discussion.

Also discussed:

– Driveclub finally has a release date, it’s set to drop October 7th this year. But is it too late for us to be excited for this game? Also, is it fair to judge the game for only running in 30fps?
– What is going on at Naughty Dog? More people are leaving the company, are they in trouble? Or are they simply transitioning?
– Nintendo opts for another Digital event at E3 instead of a full on conference. Is this a bad move? Will the Smash Fest be enough to make up for it?
– The new Call of Duty was announced, the first trailer will be revealed on May 4th. What are our expectations for this game? (We discussed this before the recent leak came out. See details here)
