Sword Art Online: Lost Song is the newest game based on the Reki Kawahara series for the PlayStation 4. Unlike the previous game that had a plot focused on the anime’s first season, Lost Song will instead be based on the anime’s second season and feature a lot of popular characters from that story.

This time around, players will be able to explore areas within the Alfheim Online MMO game that is featured in the anime. This will give players the ability to fly around freely with their character and battle tons of enemies on screen at a time on the ground and in the sky.

We sat down with the game’s producer Yosuke Futami at New York Comic Con 2015. Futami-san had some interesting facts to tell us about this new Sword Art Online game, including a fun message to fans of the series. Check out our full interview with Yosuke Futami from New York Comic Con 2015 above!

Sword Art Online: Lost Song will enable players to choose any of their favorite characters to control. No longer will you be limited to playing as the series protagonist Kirito, but instead will be able to control Asuna, Leafa, and the rest of the cast as well.

Other characters that appear from the second season of the Sword Art Online series will make appearances in Lost Song and may also be playable at some point. The game will feature 4-player co-op in various sections that will allow you to tackle tough side quests with a few friends.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song is developed by Artdink and will be published by Bandai Namco. The game will be releasing for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on November 17, 2015.
