Throwback Thursday: Ja Rule (1999 – 2003)

After the release of “Fresh Out Da Pen” and “Eerthang“, Ja Rule is this week’s selection for our Throwback Thursday feature.

We will look back on five tracks from Ja Rule’s discography.

The first of our five tracks is “It’s Murda“. This track was on Ja Rule’s 1999 album “Venni Vetti Vecci” and featured appearances from DMX and Jay Z. “It’s Murda” was produced by Tyrone Fyffe.

The second track in our selection is “Between Me & You” featuring singer Christina Milian. This song was released in the year 2000 on Ja Rule’s “Rule 3:36” album.

Track three of our five is somewhat of a posthumous collaboration with 2Pac. “So Much Pain” is heavily based on 2Pac’s track of the similar title “Pain“. This track was produced by Irv Gotti and Lil Rob and was featured on Ja Rule’s 2001 album “Pain Is Love“.

Fourth place is from 2002.  “The Pledge” features appearances from Nas and Ashanti. 2Pac is scarcely featured throughout the track. “The Pledge” was produced by 7 Aurelius and Irv Gotti.

The final track from our five is Ja Rule’s 2003 single “Clap Back“. This song was on Ja Rule’s fifth studio album titled “Blood In My Eye“. This song was produced by Irv Gotti and super-producer Scott Storch.

Ja Rule’s music is available on Amazon.
