Earlier today, Spil Games announced that their free-to-play game Valerian: City of Alpha is currently available on both iOS and Google Play. The video conveniently embedded above gives a brief overview of what players can expect from the mobile game inspired by the upcoming theatrical release of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
City of Alpha takes place 590 years prior to the film and serves as the perfect introductory piece to both the alien species and planets that are featured in City of a Thousand Planets. Players are tasked with building a space metropolis, collaborating with aliens and assembling crews for numerous exploratory missions. Below are a few additional screenshots taken from the game.
