In reply to Malik. dope beats, dope lyrics... what else is hip-hop? personally, i dont know any block (nor do i think there is any block) where you can catch "quotables" and cyphers that sound as good as the slaughterhouse emcees. that's got to be the stupidest thing ive heard in a minute. not a bad review..id give it the same 4 and 1/2 mics..tho i disagree that royce wasnt as sharp, its just that everyone else, particularly ortiz and buddens stepped their game up, and ofcourse crooked I is always up there..and almost everyone was on the same level, off course different guys shined in different songs..its a very solid album, and well thought out-best songs-lyrical murderers,sound off (royce set pace for this!), onslaught 2, salute,killaz (did u hear crooked I ride that beat!perfection), cut you loose, microphone (the first song where buddens had best verse!), not tonite (ortiz ruled!)..man, this is a tite album..

In reply to Malik. Well Malik, 1) the album was done in only 6 days. How much substance were you expecting? and 2) I thought the second half of the album was a lot better at them getting personal/deep. But hey, to each his own.

I’m sorry, but being “superlyrical” is irrelevant if you’re not talking about anything of substance. Braggadocio is cute and all, but there’s nothing below the surface and there isn’t anything new here. It’s a mixtape masquerading as an album. I don’t really care about quotables, because you can go to any cypher on any block for that. Come back with something interesting next time, instead of masturbating about how “great” you all are.

I rather have all of them do solo joints, this whole slaughterhouse stuff just seems like randomly throwing rappers together, leave the group shit for dudes that are all from one area.
