Bungie is going to have a 10 year publishing contract from activision/blizzard for an IP that Bungie will own. At the end of those 10 years, Bungie can license that IP out to any publisher they want, and during those 10 years, Bungie can also develop games for other publishers (though unlikely based on Bungie's philosophy on design). During that time Bungie will have costs of development and marketing covered, and Bungie can take full advantage of activision/blizzards support?

Bungie's heart, dreams, and livelihoods created these Halo games. If you're not a fan of them its contradictory.

Sadly the COD IP is not going down anytime soon, you seen the effects of the 15 dollar DLC?, people out there are hooked on crack with that IP.

Watch how the hype for the new version this friday begins and then massive sales will come to that new COD, that IP/brand its too powerful to just go down.

That would like saying the new Halo game without Bungie is going down hill, hell no that IP/brand its too powerful for that to happen, MS/Activision will get their money no matter who makes the new versions.

As for them making a deal with Activison, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. If any publisher can treat their game like Microsoft did, its Activision. Plus Activision gonna feel the pain of COD going downhill from now, so Bungie is in a good spot now, business wise.

Shocking people ala Kojima on MS press conference, showing off or teasing the new IP, Sony would want to reply in this manner at MS for last years E3's.

Supposedly this deal will be a brand new IP, that will span multiple offshoots, so that one trick pony stuff is back but they just got a new pony ready to go for 2011.

Or it may not and it will be a monster hit?, I still see this as Kotick knowing the loyalty Halo fans got to Bungie without them Halo wouldn't be what it is.

So he expects every single Halo fanboy to react to the new Bungie game THE SAME EXACT WAY they would for a Halo game.

Just when you thought Activision was on their last leg they go and do some shit like this… I just hope Bungie has some KY on stand by for what's about the come.

plus bungies next game might be a dud after halo…this could be a bad deal on activisions part as well.
