that's exactly what I was just saying. did say it's also a decent game, but I still think the reason it sold that little bit extra is because if you look back you'll see it was one of the few major titles to come out around that time because other publishers didn't wanna go up against the COD IP.

I'm predictig Black Ops is gonna sell like crazy too, but not quite the level of MW2. we'll see tho I guess…

In reply to Richard Bailey. Possibly or the Multiplayer code was just passed on to Treyarch and they were told just add a new elements to the money making formula. Tor/HHG were saying that Single player is more of a Treyarch original experience full of Gore and all that, so perhaps that's where Treyarch got to express their creativity and the Online is basically MW2.5.

fuk activison and this series, im not giving them any more money, with dlc and over priced games to start with activison are just a money factory, i cant beleive people are happy buying the same game as last year with a new skin and single player, same shit different title.

people really are happy to be stuck playing the same old rubbish and paying for it again ! seems like a madden and fifa situation to me.

i guess if your having fun who cares.

Here is a thought… remember when The Infinity Ward Bosses were escorted off the Activision premises? You recall that the rest of that development team didn't leave right away because Activision held them bonuses over their heads. What's to say that they didn't utilize some of that teams talents to craft this game? It would account for a big reason why the multiplayer is exactly the same as Modern Warfare 2. Still you already know this game will kill in sales. Too bad I won't get to see someone compete against them in November.

Yet it will be more successful then any other military shooter out there, what does that say about the competition when they can just update MW2 and it is still better then these "new games" that will suck and get hyped by COD haters LOL!. BC is garbage/MAG is garbage/MOH is garbage nothing can compete with Activision, so they got no reason to take COD to another, they are set this gen.

Don't be fooled think just because you read hatred for the game online that it means the world hates it, hell no COD is a powerful IP at this point it doesn't need hardcore gamers supporting it to sell 1.5-2.5 Million in its first week.

In reply to José Luis. Half the reason MW2's sales were so good is because every other major release moved out of its way, allowing it to soak up all the money spent by gamers during that period. That's half the reason it sold so well. Plus its huge marketing campaign. (And it is a decent game too.) It won't matter if they try something different as long as it's good enough, but the main thing is that it has Call of Duty on the cover.

After the sells MW2 pulled off….did you expect them to really change?, those sells tell them to just keep adding to the formula.

Looks like the typical COD online multiplayer, but I didnt expect anything else.

Regardless I cant wait to get on there and dominate.
