Who ever wrote this articul is way off. Gamecrazy died due to pour management at the corporate level and bad business structure. The corporation was set up as an additional part of Hollywood video not as a seperate store. So when Hollywood filed for bankruptcy they could not seperate the to companies. Gamecrazy was successful but could not carry the lose of business to netflix, redbox and all the other online movie providers. If the had established Gamecrazy as its own business not a subsidiary then they would of simple consulidated and moved into malls and smaller shopping centers. Gamestop is the wal-mart of video games, they have the buying and marketing power. They push online sales because it only take 20 people to maintain and run the website not the thousands it takes to operate the stores nation wide. From a former store manager of EB GAMES and GAMESTOP...support your local mom and pop stores with your trade ins and used purchases and it will drive the prices down at the BIG BOX places.
