					<description><![CDATA[He obviously hasn&#039;t played many games then. First of all, he makes the school-boy error that a lot of people (even some game designers themselves) make, and that is directly comparing video game narrative to tv/film style... you can&#039;t do that, it&#039;s like comparing music to dance: they both cross paths in practice, but are completely different forms of entertainment. It&#039;s an entirely different way of telling stories.  
Despite that, it&#039;s obvious he hasn&#039;t often sat down to play good games or has simply chosen the wrong titles, and just written off the medium too soon. They can be just as engaging in drama, action, even comedy, etc, as film, tv shows, comics, and novels are - you just have to play the right ones. Mass Effect (action, drama,), Metal Gear Solid (action), Crysis (action), Half Life (action, drama), and for great comedy you have Grand Theft Auto and Brutal Legend - just a few games off the top of my head that fit those genres well.
