me personally i think they need to do a remake of metal gear or metal gear 2 : solid snake and to be honest the metal gear series has always been about snake at the moment the credits going to raiden but the very final game the proper conclusion will have snake no doubt about it they will bring him back some way if not big boss or solid snake , maybe a new snake clone to keep the series going longer like the one they had in metal gear acid it will end with a snake at least so no panic its always been about him from the start and it would be just stupid to end it with someone who was introduced half way

also solid is solid snake and metal gear is a huge weapon so if it doesent have snake it is metal gear rising and if it does not have a metal gear it is just rising, think its a great game just the title is not a good choice. should be a separate game

@Jose, quiet down. You obviously have no loyalty to this gaming franchise. You sound like one of those noobs who just wants all types of craziness to go on in games and make no sense. These types of games don't have any appeal to us true gamers. People like you are helping ruin the gaming community with rushed development and crazy plot lines. That mess is complete crap and madness. I bought a PS3 for 2 reasons. 1. Solid Snake 2. Blu-Ray. (In that order) I don't mess with this thing outside of that. I play on my 360 for other games. I will however play through all of the GoW, but they won't be the reasons why I bought a PS3 in the first place. Snake sells PS3's, much like Master Chief sells 360's & Mario/Link do the same. Raiden is, well, LAME. Good side character, but a lame main character. Plus Hayter has a cooler voice, not to mention the legacy that is Solid Snake. Go take your noob antics somewhere else.

Snake brought this franchise together, and if they can make a crazy cyborg abomination into Raiden then i'm pretty sure that they can give snake some anti-aging process to bring him back to the old days. Hint to everyone: there have been Japanese releases that have involved just "Metal Gear" in the title and didn't have do with snake. In my opinion a "Metal Gear Solid" title will always have something to do with Snake, whether it being the young big boss or solid himself.

Kojima is Crazy.Why would you do away with the character that built the intire Metal Gear franchise. Ive followed the series since the ps one release, and have played the nes games.How do you go from a CIA badass with a 45 and a pack of smokes to this cyborg ninga BUllSHIT. Let's be honest, even after MGS 4 Raiden was still a bit of a bender even with his ninja fighting and strength shit.

They introduced him horribly as a naked cartwheeler in Sons of Liberty and most can't get over that.

Snake NEEDS to be in it, even if it's a flashback malarkey type of deal it will have ALOT to live up to if it's based on Raiden.

He shouldn't be Involved, let Lighting get his shine!!! This game will have nothing do with MGS4.

Xbox 360 didn't have MGS4 so it would be a bad idea to try to bring MGS4 into this.

This game will be about MGS2 you know the one that did come to XBOX, the one where Raiden was the main character.

But I hope Kojima keeps Hayter away, let this new character sell the game not Snake.

I don't believe he is dead yet, and as long as he lives he will stay fighting. Snake ain't the type to retire playing golf n shit. And even if he doesn't appear I am sure his voice will be in the game in some way.
