I've been following all the news about The Legend Of Zelda:Skyward Sword, with great interest, since I'm very interested in getting this game, I've been a very big fan of the Zelda series ever since I first played Ocarina Of Time, the Zelda series are definitely games that I can get into, anyway, it'll be really interesting to see what Nintendo manage to pull-off with this latest installment in the series, I've ended up getting very interested in experiencing the new motion-plus system to the extent of buying a new motion-plus compatible wireless Nunchuk controller for my Nintendo Wii games machine.

I even still have my old Nintendo 64 console which I bought back in 1998, but sadly, I'm unable to use it because I simply can't get any good controllers for it anymore, all the ones I have found have been that worn out that they're unusable, wouldn't it be cool if Nintendo manufactured an updated controller for those who still own this venerable machine?

Well, I've read lots of other people's comments about the latest up and coming installment to the Zelda series, and I'm prepared to keep a very open mind about the game, who knows, we may all be very pleasantly surprised... :)

MotionPlus a gimmick? No. But I want to see the new elemtns like that, mixed in with the tradition we have all come to know and love. I do NOT want to see them abandon tradition, and have gimmicky controls. Or a title delay for Cafe.

I actually agree with the message of this article, but for different reasons. I don't necessarily think that the Motion Plus is a bad idea, I just think that it isn't an amazing one. In terms of gameplay value, I'm not confident that the Wii Motion Plus will add a lot, or be that much different from Twilight Princess' game play. Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoy swinging my Wii Remote like a maniac while slaughtering Moblins, but that didn't make Twilight Princess any better than Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. When it comes down to it, swinging the Wii Mote as a sword is truly a gimmick, and there's nothing the Wii Motion Plus can do to change that fact. I believe that the most sensible move for Nintendo at this point is to make Skyward Sword a launch title for "Project Cafe". From what I've heard, "Project Cafe" will have technological capabilities similar to if not more powerful than the Xbox 360 or PS3. This should give Nintendo to refine Skyward Sword to absolute perfection, which I think is something every Zelda fan would like to see.

This is such as ridiculous piece of writing. MotionPlus is not a gimmick, it finally gives you control over the direction of your sword, not just the timing (press B, rinse and repeat). It's worked in every game so far. It hasn't been used enough because not every Wii owner has it. SS will be amazing, I don't know how anyone can argue otherwise....

MotionPlus will help to set Skyward Sword apart from previous Zelda games as you say is necessary. The stupid thing about calling MotionPlus a gimmick is that it is actually the realization of the motion control scheme that the Wii was always supposed to have. WITHOUT MotionPlus the motion control is a gimmick, since there is no way to really map it into the game. They wanted 1-to-1 sword controls for TP, but had to abandon them for lack of precision, so they just used remote shaking as a glorified button press. An idea as awesome as 1-to-1 Zelda swordplay needs to be tried at least once.

Motion plus terrifies you?

I must have played many, many hours using motion plus and not had one problem with it. The most I can do, to criticise it, is that it uses up battery power faster than otherwise. How can it actually detract from a game, when all it does is add accuracy?
