Dwight, you touched upon an area that greatly needs fixed, College… Don't know if you recall the College hoops game but when EA decided to buy exclusive rights to that NCAA license that blocked 2k from making more games. Now there is no College Basketball game… They need to jump on that ASAP

(Most apply in Association mode)

1. RECORDS: Like in Madden, have the Clark and Kevin acknowledge a record that has been broken or is close to being broken ("[Player] needs one more [Stat] to break the all-time record.."

2. TEAM SCOUTING: Maybe Scouting points could also be used for a team as a whole to research last 10 game trend of increased or decreased stats and who is getting hot or cold. Or maybe even most run offensive plays.

3. PERSONAL RIVALRIES: It would be nice if a recently traded player has increased offensive and defensive awareness rating (and maybe a few others too) when he plays against his old team, which could depend on a player's role or personality type. (Which would be nice for bench players playing their old teams with increased ratings could mean increased playing time)

4. CELEBRATIONS: Maybe add a special animation when a close game is won, specially on a game-winning buzzer beater.

5. HARD FOUL / TECH. FOUL: The take charge button should be replaced with a hard foul one (like in old sega or 'Live games). Maybe certain instances (and depending on the defensive awareness rating of the player) the ball can get knocked out or the refs don't make the call or your player agitates the defended player enough that they commit a hard foul themselves and get a tech called on them. Conversely, the used player could also get a quick T. (I mean, the only T's we see are for defensive 3 sec.s – that's an unrealistic game)

Maybe the NBA isn't cool with their league being depicted in this light (which is why the 2k doesn't have this in their game) so it could be countered with Clark and Kevin saying something like "That's not right, that's not what this league is about.." or some such.

6. CUSTOM PLAYS DURING T.O./COACH RATING/PLAYER PRIORITY ASSIGNMENTS: Maybe the programmers could design a a quick list of actions players can do (pick, pop/roll, pass, dive, etc.) and plays could unfold in a series of steps with a limited number of steps to be used. Each steps could have 1-2 secs for completing. For example:

Step 1: Inbound to PG, starting positions for SG, SF, and C (with PF inbounding)
Step 2: C and SF set screen to SG, PG pick and pop with PF
etc

And the players' ability to execute could be based on the Coach's ratings as well. Also based on the Coaches' (including the assistant coach) rating, there could be a quick stat/heat index/fatigue guide of the other team (more or less info depending on their ratings) as well as a success % of plays called against that team within the game.

Conversely on defense, the success % of plays against your team could also prompt you to make adjustments like different defensive assignments, setting individual priority assignments like C priority to rebound, SG priority to guard man, SF priority to guard tight for med-3pt shots, PF priority to guard drives or low post shots, and PG priority to guard loose and quick return for fastbreak.

And that's all the geekgasm i have for tonight..

You could take that a step further, have Magic and Larry on the cover and play out there best 10 or so rivalry games, moments etc. Where you can play as either player each having different objectives to get the win.

The MyPlayer was and is great (I'm still playing a couple of guys atm). THey need to take the next step and make it so much deeper, better customisation, more endorsments, even better broadcast quality in games, deeper interviews (I want to see more challenges put infront of the player if he makes a wrong answer), managers, life off the court (even as far as designing your own home or training facility) etc. From what I gather they are trying to do some of this with Top Spin 4.

They need to work on the my player risk reward factor.

Too many times you lose a huge shunk from your grade compared to what you gain.

If they can get the player barriers together far as box outs and driving around a defender who went for a pump fake.

Improve the brancing system tech.

Add a better shot block timing and i am sold the soap opera mode i don't care for.

Sports games are sports games rpg's are rpg's.

those core things and the sprinkles on top and that will complete the 2k sundae.

i agree with u about court spacing but they could get NBA direct Pass license .Use offical NBA network, they can use charles barkley wirhout TNT license license.

Thanks Man there alot of stuff this game need done.Game need a spectator mode i watch my two friends duke it out. I can actually say i got game after they finsh, i hop in and play.

Sony already got TNT license on lock, why you think 2K hasn't added it yet?, Sony been holding that in their pocket for a while now and with their new revamped NBA THE SHOW game it will get used in another level.

I suggest 2k stop focusing on stuff like that and get the game

of basketball even more defined, the total control passing takes 2k to another level, now work on the court spacing and make the game physics based so EA can shut up about that.

When i play in the playoffs they need have a promo videos like espn and TNT do.2k need do replays from previous game showing how my stars played. When players sitting on the bench 2k need add gatorade towels,cups, warm up shirts, and knee raps with ice like kg kobe use.
