I love the idea of a Cloth map. Maybe I can get the other Elder Scrolls games maps put on cloth as well..

It is not meant to be an exact representation of the map in the game or of the map that comes physically with copies of the game. Just a map of the region that I found online: http://rpgames.web4.hu/cikk/todd-howard-videointerjuk

I’m curious…where does that picture (the map of Skyrim) come from? Because I haven’t seen it anywhere else, and all the other articles show some Skyrim boxes sitting on a map that appears to be brown and parchment-y like what one would expect from Oblivion.

Yeah you actually get a map regardless of whether you preorder or not (a paper one). Just you get a high quality fabric one if you preorder.

This isn’t just an ordinary paper map, it’s supposed to be made with some sort of special cloth that makes it have a more “real” feel to it. But I agree, it’s nothing really special. I hope there is more fascinating collectibles revealed later on.
