In reply to <a href="https://thekoalition.com/2012/plantronics-gamecom-780-review-surrounding-sound#comment-144320">Nicholas Gatewood</a>.

You sound like you're set for now. I would really love to have this headset work with other devices, but as of now, it is USB only and cancels out virtually no sound. With that being said, the sound quality itself and the comfort level is unmatched by any headset I have experienced so far (and I wear glasses as well.) So, for you, I would probably just stick with what you've got right now.

EDIT: My apologies for the late reply!

How's the build quality? I got two of the recent GameCom headsets, one's cord completely ripped out of the headset easily after a few weeks and the other(a cheaper one since the first destroyed my audio hardware budget) had a broken earpiece after literally only a week of careful, paranoid use. The headsets definitely feel better to have on than to NOT have on and the audio quality is great, but the build quality is horrific. I'd gladly pay an extra $20 on top of the price of the current GameCom headsets if they'd just have better build quality, but I'm not sure if they've improved. As it stands, my Sennheiser PC-350 gives off better audio than any home audio setup I've ever used, it works with my Vita, it's noise-cancelling, it has great build quality and it only cost me $100. It doesn't have a mic and it's not as comfy as the GameCom headsets(especially since I wear glasses, they make them dig into my head) but right now I'm good.
