I would like to know why i can spend big on a player or players as in my case who have 91 pace etc and get outrun by players with 75 pace. Its imposible to beat teams in fut playing cpu league. F…… sort this out ea, been buying fifa since ps1 not an happy bunny. By the way have a nice day.

exactly m8….. sometimes its feels like ur not controlling your deff….because of the shitty defending engine…. i mean if ur not good at attacking then u cant do shit ….. against other people is different but against the CPU if fucking ridiculus….. their passes are 100 percent accurate…. their shots too….. this has to change

You would certainly think so but it seems like the gaming industry seems to be an exception for some unknown reason.

Waiting for a patch to correct this – in the meantime, we are effectively paying EA for the privilidge of BETA testing their product.

I worked at Microsoft for a bit and generally speaking, all the projects I’ve ever been on have been tested to the highest degree you could imagine with many of the biggest franchises having vast numbers of QA testers working literally around the clock for over a year on them. However, one thing you need to bear in mind when you come across a bug in a game is that it more than likely WAS found and logged by a tester it’s just that the development team then deferred it (ie, they decided it wasn’t worth fixing at that stage for whatever reason).

Having said this, when it comes to online gaming there are certain things which are difficult to test because it’s harder to replicate real-world situations in an office. When I worked on some of the Battlefield games we went to great lengths to do as much as we could, for instance, testing in-game stability between QA departments based in different countries or playing with deliberately poor connections but more often than not there’ll always be some unforeseen problem that would only emerge once you released the game worldwide to millions of people.

That said, as far as FIFA 14 is concerned there are entire sections of the game that are simply broken (such as online seasons where many people are STILL struggling to join a game) and all I know is that when I was with EA there would have been no way we’d have released, say, Battlefield 2142 if it was impossible to join a game on Titan Mode. Seeing as Battlefield 4 has also had so much trouble with its recent launch I can only think either standards have slipped or more likely we’re seeing a dangerous growing trend in the games industry where publishers are releasing unfinished games simply to meet an arbitrary deadline because they know that in this era on online gaming consoles they can just fix all the problems at a later date.

Have you worked for any other company as a QA? I’m curious to hear about any comparisons with EA in terms of depth or time taken to test their games.

It feels like EA don’t test FIFA titles at all. Problems are still there 4 months after release.

Anyway i dont think anyone would complain if both Ramos and Casillas got a downgrade, but those 2 players are not the reason everyone choses Real Madrid. And they are the only one that deserves a downgrade possibly Pepe to.
