So your telling me it takes 7 years to make one game no Square Enix mismanaged this game no knows how much of this game they’ve made. No one knows any thing about it because they’ve simply stopped talking about this is why their losing so much money.

your right about 1 thing. they only had just that trailer from 06′. development of the game never even started until ffxiii was completed. then it was halted to help finish ffxiii-2. so development of the game hasnt really had alot of time in it. as you would think. it just keeps getting put on the back-burner for “in my opinion”, a lesser game.

Probably because they’re still working on it. When they had shown that first trailer way back, that was literally ALL they had done of it. No gameplay mechanics, no story, no real artwork, nothing but that CG trailer and the theme to go along with it. After that they began creating all the backbone to the game (story, artwork, gameplay ideas). That took probably at least a year or two. Then they had to start building the game and creating textures, that takes a lot of time. Probably another 2 or 3 years. Then they scan the whole game for bugs and fix them along with getting voice acting casted and recorded for it. Then you have to think about how they have to localize it and get English voice actors chosen, which they either have already done or still in the process of. Yeah, the meat and bones of this game are most likely done, but that doesn’t mean it’s finished. The only thing that was done wrong here was that it was announced way too early. The fact people think it should have been done a long time ago just simply don’t understand how freakin’ early the first trailer for the game was. Compare Noctis in the first trailer and then the 2011 trailer, HUGE difference!

I agree, it looked really good. I have no idea why they decided not to release it
